Introduction

BFA Networks Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") offers the BFA Bond network bonding platform, the BFA Stream mobile application and related BFA products and services (collectively, the "Service"). The underlying technology platform is owned and technically operated by Water Telecom Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

The website does not currently collect personal information through contact or support form submissions, newsletter sign-ups, website analytics, advertising trackers or payment forms.

As with any website, our hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request information (such as IP address, date and time, the URL requested and browser/user-agent information) for site delivery, security, reliability, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or purchase a subscription, we collect your email address, name, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full credit card numbers.

Device and Network Data

The BFA Stream app collects network interface information (WiFi, cellular) to perform connection bonding. This includes signal strength, connection type (4G/5G/WiFi), network latency, and throughput metrics. This data is used in real time to optimize your stream and is not stored after your session ends.

Camera and Microphone

BFA Stream accesses your device's camera and microphone solely to capture video and audio for live streaming. Media is transmitted directly to your configured streaming destination (e.g., your BFA Bond server or third-party platform). We do not record, store, or access your media content on our servers.

Usage and Metering Data

We collect aggregated usage metrics including session duration, bytes transferred, and active session counts. This data is used for billing (pay-as-you-go metering), service monitoring, and improving the platform. Usage data is associated with your API key, not with individual users or content.

Server Telemetry

Self-hosted BFA Bond servers send periodic license validation requests that include the server version, active session count, and license key. No user content, IP addresses, or personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

How We Use Your Information
  • Provide the Service — Route and bond your network connections, deliver your stream to the configured destination.
  • Billing — Calculate usage-based charges for pay-as-you-go accounts and volume license seat counts.
  • License Validation — Verify your license status and enforce seat limits.
  • Improve the Platform — Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and features.
  • Support — Respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance.
Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on infrastructure operated by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States and Europe. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. API keys are hashed before storage.

Self-hosted BFA Bond servers store session and metering data locally in a SQLite database on your own infrastructure. We have no access to your self-hosted server data.

We retain usage and billing data for the duration of your account plus 90 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Amazon Web Services — Infrastructure hosting, DynamoDB for API key management, CloudFront for CDN.
  • Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions and seat purchases.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data We Do Not Collect
  • We do not record, store, or view your video or audio content.
  • We do not access your device's contacts, photos, files, or location.
  • We do not use advertising trackers, behavioral profiling, or cookie-based analytics.
  • We do not collect or store the IP addresses of your stream viewers.
Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@bfanetworks.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
